The Motherland
I found a bound set of postcards depicting Paris in the 1930's. It had beautiful black and white images with thin tissue sheets between each card. I created this piece from that booklet as a deconstructed, reimagined view of the city, including the buildings, back sides of the cards with exquisite typography, and the aged tissue flysheets. Collage and airbrush on Quaker Instant Oatmeal boxes, repurposed frame.
