Test For Echo

Part of my Cereal Box Portal series. I spent a lot of time at the kitchen counter as a child, eating cereal, oatmeal and other self-prepared foods. As I read the backs of countless cereal boxes while eating, I was transported to other places and times, far away from my south Louisiana home town. There aren't a lot of pictures of me as a young child, since I was the fifth and youngest sibling. The grainy cyanotype image speaks both to my existence and the fragmented memory of that time. This work was part of a group show at SoNa Chicago Art Gallery. 13x18" collage on cereal box, unframed.
