Presque Vu - Look

The third piece created in the series. The "real world" objects – cameras and other optical devices – are an attempt to actively look for hidden dimensions or parallel universes.

Presque Vu (French, almost seen) is a series of three works made from hundreds of images found in old books and magazines. These images, arranged into dense, sculptural forms, allude to the idea of parallel dimensions or hidden worlds where perception, space and time are upended. They give me a feeling much like trying to remember a dream from fragments of memory after waking. A feeling of desperation or longing as my conscious mind erases the memory to make room for the day's work.
