Presque Vu - Commune

This piece, the first in a series, was created by cutting out hundreds of building images from an old architecture book, and through this repetitive process, a new work developed: one that juxtaposes the physical world– black and white– with this partially hidden, brightly colored parallel universe. A new kind of city.

Presque Vu is a new series of meticulously created collages made from hundreds of images found in old books and magazines. These images, arranged into dense, sculptural forms, touch upon the idea of parallel dimensions or hidden worlds where perception, space and time are upended.
