Lithium II

Part of a series birthed from satellite imagery from around the world. The geometric shapes originated from a satellite image of lithium drying ponds in South America. These giant fields are comprised of a series of ponds which when they evaporate, the remaining lithium is mined for use in batteries. I fed an original work of art that I created into the DALL-E artificial intelligence engine and it reimagined my art with alternate versions, two of which I took and created new handmade works from that inspiration. This is one of them. The other lives with a collector in St. Louis. So, my artwork - A.I. - my artwork. 20x20 collage on canvas.
