A study on the elevation of consumer goods. The design of commonplace objects has always fascinated me. I decided to elevate these common objects by silhouetting them against a common background, accented with old maps. By framing each object on a book cover, I'm increasing their stature, forcing the viewer to see them in a new light. Hand-cut collage and acrylic on masonite, framed, 36x24x2".
