Escape Plan

Part of my Cereal Box Portal series. This one echoes back to my time in art school. I had an ill-fated relationship which brought me a lot of pain, anxiety, and isolation. The bottom black and white photo was an image I created on campus. On the evening that I ended the relationship, I left work as an airbrush artist in the local mall, bought a six pack of Budweiser and drank most of it, then treated myself to a screening of Robin Williams' latest film, Good Morning Vietnam, at a local cinemaplex. That movie, as well as Robin's insane, improvised performance, still brings me both joy and a sense of peace. 21.5x17" collage and cyanotype on six-pack box, unframed.
