Entanglement
I often wonder what it would be like to visit alternate universes to see the alternate versions of myself. When I feel lost, I'd like to find the version of me who isn't, the one who has it all figured out. If I make a certain choice here in my reality, does that affect the other versions of me?
New discoveries in quantum theory are shedding light on what was once considered magic or miracles. Scientists have proven the theory of superposition (an object existing in two places at once), as well as the existence of at least 30 different dimensions. The concept of entanglement has also been proven, where a particle that is acted upon actually affects a twin particle a considerable distance away, instantaneously.
With all of that scientific information, I created this work which features particles in parallel universes being affected by each other. The background grid represents the myriad choices we make every day, and the effects those choices have, essentially splitting our universe into infinite universes, all existing simultaneously. What exactly are the other versions of ourselves up to?
