Dart Board (Ode to Tony Fitzpatrick)

I was recently part of a group collage exhibit here in Chicago at SoNa Contemporary. Tony, one of Chicago's most beloved artists, chose the artists along with SoNa's curators. Before the show went live, sadly, Tony passed away. The opening of the show was an amazing experience, with his wife and children sharing things about him, as well as reading some of his poetry. I never got to meet Tony, but he told me (via Instagram Message) that he thought my work was "fantastic".
 
This piece continues my exploration of parallel dimensions. The cardinal is a reference to Tony (one of his favorite birds). It's peeking through dimensions, I'm sure just like Tony's probably doing now. 41x25x4.25" collage on dart board.
